Create a Database
Step 1 In Access, click on File | New Database.
 The New Dialog Box will appear and the Blank database icon should be selected.

Step 2 The default name (db1.mdb, for example) should be selected in the File Name area.
 Type the name you have chosen for your database. (We chose CustomerDatabase.) Click OK.

Step 3 Note:
 Access is different than other programs in that you save your work in this first step. The database you have created is an empty shell of a database. Now you need to create database objects, such as, tables, queries, forms, and reports.
