Open a Database
 Step 1
Start the Access Program.
The Access startup window opens with "Open An Existing Database" selected.

If you wish to open an existing database, click on the name of your database.
Click OK.

If you wish to create a new database from scratch, Click on "Blank Database".
The "File New Database" dialog box appears.
Access asks you to save and name your database file as a first step.

The Database window appears.
Now you may create objects, such as:
Tables
Queries
Forms
Reports
