Step 1 Words on slides should be headings that describe a topic.
 Detailed information should be provided by the speaker. Too much text on a slide detracts from the slide and the presentation.

Step 2 To enter text on a new slide, click the new slide button or select Insert / New Slide from the menu.

Step 3 Select the layout for the new slide from the New Slide Dialog Box.

We will select a bulleted list.

Step 4 Click in the Heading area and type the heading text. (Example, Project Goals)
 The slide will look similar to the one above.

Step 5 Click in the Bullet List area and type the desired text.
 The slide will look similar to the one above.
