Using Footnote and Endnotes in your document

Save any work that you have not previously saved.

  1. Open the file you created in Activity 1 by choosing File/Open and then selecting the filename of your file.
  2. Let’s put footnotes or endnotes in your document.
    1. Position the cursor after the word or phrase you wish to cite.
    2. Choose Insert/Footnote and then either Footnote or Endnote.

Note the example footnotes at the bottom of this page. The numbering was done automatically.
