PowerPoint 95 Menu Changing Appearance of Slides Next Topic

Objectives:

  1. Learn to change the look of a presentation by:
    1. Using a presentation template
    2. Changing Background Appearance
    3. Changing Color Scheme
    4. Using theAutocontent Wizard

Occasionally you will want to change the appearance of your presentation. You can do this in several ways.


Using the presentation template.

  1. Save any work that you have.
  2. Choose File/Open to open your PTA Meeting presentation if necessary.
  3. Choose Format/Apply Design.
  4. Locate the Presentation Design folder.
    1. Drive C:.
    2. MSOffice folder.
    3. Templates folder.
    4. Presentation Designs folder.
  5. Select a presentation template from the list.
  6. (An example of the appearance of the slide will be displayed. You may choose from a variety of colors and styles.)

    1. Click Apply.

Changing the Background Appearance of Your Slides.

  1. Choose Format/Custom Background.
    1. Select Shade Styles, if desired, or none.
    2. Select Change Color, if you want the slide background to be a different color
    3. Select light intensity by sliding the slider bar between light and dark.
    4. Click Preview to see how your slide will look.
    5. Click Apply to apply changes to current slide only.
    6. Click Apply to All to apply changes to all slides.

Changing the Slide Color Scheme.

  1. Choose Format/Slide Color Scheme/Custom.
    1. Change Scheme Colors.
    2. Click on color of item, click on Change Colors...

      1. Background
      2. Shadows
      3. Fills
      4. Accents
      5. Text and Lines
      6. Title Text
    3. Click Apply to apply changes to current slide only.
    4. Click Apply to All to apply changes to all slides.

Using the AutoContent Wizard.

  1. Select File/New.
  2. Select the Presentation Tab.
  3. Select AutoContent Wizard/OK.
  4. Follow directions on screen, making selections as you go.
    1. Click Next to go to the next step in the process.
    2. Click Back to go back to a previous step in the process.
    3. Click Finish when you are done.
