Excel 95 Menu Excel 95 Insert Chart Next Topic

Objectives:

  1. Use ChartWizard to create a chart in an Excel worksheet

Open an existing worksheet

If your worksheet is not open,

  1. Choose File/Open.
  2. The Open dialog box appears.

    1. Select the appropriate drive, folder, and filename.
    2. Click OK.

Inserting a Chart into your sheet.

Your sheet will look like the one illustrated below when you complete this activity.

  1. Click the ChartWizard button.
  2. The cursor will turn into cross-hairs with the ChartWizard icon attached.

  3. Draw a chart area below the data by clicking and dragging from the upper-left corner of chart area to lower right-corner of chart area.
  4. The first of several ChartWizard boxes appears.

  5. Select the data to graph and labeling information.
  6. In the example, this is the RANGE A2 through M4.

  7. Click Next.
  8. Now you see next ChartWizard box.

  9. Select Line.
  10. Click Next.
  11. Now you see next ChartWizard box.

  12. Select Option 10.
  13. Click Next
  14. Now you see next ChartWizard box.

  15. Click Next.
  16. The final ChartWizard box appears.

  17. Make sure Add a Legend? is selected.
  18. Type a Title for your chart.
  19. Click Finish.
  20. Re-size and Move the chart if necessary.

Save your worksheet
