Inserting Clipart in your document.

1. Save any work that you have.
2. Choose File/New/Blank Document/OK to create a new document.
3. Type the following text in your document.

The Eighth Grade class of Lincoln Middle School invites you to attend their 1997 graduation ceremonies.

Please be our guests at this special occasion.

4. Place the cursor between the two sentences.
5. Choose Insert/Object.
1. Select Microsoft Clipart Gallery.
2. Click OK.
3. Select the Academic category.

Several Academics clipart images will be displayed.

4. Select an image which is appropriate for your announcement.
5. Click OK.
6. Your invitation will look similar to the one shown below.

7. Save your invitation in a file.

Inserting WordArt in your document.

1. Save any work that you have.
2. Choose Insert/Object.
1. Select Microsoft WordArt.
2. Click OK.
3. In the dialog box, type the text to be displayed as WordArt.

(In this example, the name of the school "Lincoln" was typed.)

4. The following tool bar will appear.



1. Select an Shape.(For example, Arch Up)
2. Select a Font. .(For example, Arial)
3. Select an Size. .(For example, Best Fit)
4. Select Bold or Italic.
5. Select Even Height if every letter should be same height.
6. Select Flip if text should print sideways.
7. Select Stretch to fill area horizontally or vertically.
8. Align. (Centered is default.)
9. Select Spacing to change space between characters (kerning)
10. Select Rotation to change rotation angles.
11. Select Shading to change shading behind text.
12. Select Shadow to give shadow effect.
13. Select Border to draw border around WordArt.
