Publisher Menu Saving a Web Site with Publisher Next Topic

Objectives:

  1. Learn how to save your Publisher Document.
  2. Learn how to save your Publisher Web Site.

Saving Your Work as a Microsoft Publisher document.

  1. Choose File / Save As




  2. Type your filename in the Filename box.
  3. Make sure correct drive letter has been selected.
  4. Click Save.


  5. This is only the first step of saving your web site.
    You have just saved a Microsoft Publisher document.
    Now you need to actually save your web site as individual web pages and graphics.

Saving Your Work as individual web pages and graphics.

  1. Choose File / Publish Web Site to folder




  2. Next you need to specify where your web site files will be stored.
    We'll put our files on a floppy disk for easy transportability.
    You will probably need to give your webmaster a diskette so he/she can update your web site on the server.

  3. Select drive A:
  4. Click on New Folder.
  5. In the text box, type of name of the folder where all your web page files will be stored on drive A:.
    We'll type Lincoln.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Now Publisher saves your web site to the disk drive and folder you selected.

    Note: If you work on your web site and make changes, you need to go through both save steps each time.
