In the drawing of a typical Windows 95 window, note the various components of the window. All Windows 95 windows contain these same components.

Moving a window

Drag the window to its destination by:

    1. clicking on the title bar with the left mouse button,
    2. holding the mouse button down, and
    3. dragging the window to its new destination.

Re-sizing a window

Re-size a window by:

    1. moving the mouse pointer to a border or corner of the window
    2. (You should see × , Ö, or .)

    3. clicking on the border or corner with the left mouse button,
    4. holding the mouse button down, and
    5. dragging the window to its new size.

Selecting a window when many are opened

Select a window by:

    1. clicking anyplace on the window
    2. -or-

      Select a minimized window by:

    3. clicking the tab describing the window on the taskbar. The tab will be at the left, right, or bottom edge of the screen.

(The window will open and jump to the top of the stack.)

Closing a window

    1. Click on button in extreme upper, right corner of window. ý
