Learn to create a folder for science word processing files.
Learn to create a folder for geography word processing files.
Steps to follow:
Let’s say you want to organize your folders for
word-processing files into three components;
a folder for math,
a folder for science, and
a folder for geography.
Therefore, you will wish to create three folders WITHIN
the word-processing folder.
Open Windows Explorer
Select your hard drive.
(Usually this is drive C:.)
Open your word-processing folder.
(Open the folder by double-clicking on the folder icon.)

Select File/New from the Windows Explorer menu.
Select Folder from the list that appears.
(A folder icon appears.
Now you need to type the name you wish to assign this folder.)
Type Math (or any other name you wish to assign
this folder) and press enter.
(Now you have a folder on the hard drive (drive C:) to hold
all your math word processing documents.)
Follow steps 2 through 7, but this time give your new
folder a name for Science files.
Follow steps 2 through 7, but this time give your new
folder a name for Geography files.
Follow the directions in Activity 2
(Using WordPad) to create a file containing a short
message about Michigan and save as MICH in your
Geography folder.
Note that you now have a folder named WORD
containing three folders named
Math,
Geography, and
Science.
The Folder named Geography contains a WordPad file name MICH.
