Let’s say you want to delete the folder you created
for geography. You found out that you won’t be teaching
geography after all.
To delete a file or folder:
Open Windows Explorer
(Right-click My Computer icon and select Explore.)
Select your hard drive. (Usually this is drive C:.)
Select your Geography folder.
The word Geography is highlighted.
Press Delete.
You are asked if you are sure you want to delete the file.
Select yes.
The folder contents (The WordPad file named MICH)
are now transferred to the Recycle Bin.
(That’s all there is to deleting a file or folder.
Since it is so easy, you might occasionally delete a file or
folder by mistake.)
